The Raleigh area enjoyed another cloudless sunrise event today, offering an opportunity to revisit twilight's unique and ever-pleasing spectrum in the top image (and better
large on black). Forty minutes later, the view just before sunrise proper, above (also better
LOB), provides a completely different suite of colors owing to the increased scattering of light.
